Josie Gould Memorial Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 Josie Gould Memorial Scholarships.

The theme of this year's essay contest is "What role can youth play in the union movement, and what can unions do to motivate youth in union activism?"

The Josie Gould Memorial Scholarships are awarded every year to UNW Members, their Children or their Spouses and Partners. All UNW Members can apply. A total of 10 Scholarships are awarded to assist students with post-secondary education.  Each scholarship is worth $3,000.
The first Jose Gould Scholarships were awarded in 2002 when Josie was still alive.  To date, $360,000 in scholarships have been provided to 120 students.
After Josie's death in August 2008, the scholarship was renamed the Josie Gould Memorial Scholarship.
